Our inviting, 1904 historic home in north Tacoma is perfectly located just a short walk to the University of Puget Sound or to the 6th Ave restaurant district. Check our guidebook for tons of ideas. Our place is 5 minutes by car from 3 hospitals and its the perfect home base for exploring Mt Rainier or the Olympics! You will love your comfortable, private upstairs bedroom & bathroom. Connected to UPS? In Tacoma for work? Just visiting the beautiful PNW? “Chambre d’Aubrie” is the place for you!

Good to know

The bedroom has a new queen size bed, a comfortable sitting area, a practical workspace for your laptop or writing, a flat screen TV with an amazon fire TV stick, a compact fridge & freezer, toaster, hot water pot, microwave, Nespresso coffee machine, and even two bath robes. The newly remodeled bathroom has a tub/shower combo and plenty of room at the vanity to get ready in comfort. Please note that this bedroom is not set up for small children.

House Rules

1. PLEASE, do not eat or drink in/on the bed. You don’t mean to do it, but spills happen, and that is tough for us. 2. Also, please do not sleep on the decorative pillow shams - only use the pillows with pillow cases to lay your head. 3. Please use the black wash clothes for make-up removal.

Neighborhood

Our home is in a safe, quiet, family oriented neighborhood with great people who will smile and say hello. It is also cool because it's so walkable. The streets are well lit with not much traffic. You can easily walk to the university, as well as to coffee shops, restaurants & bars just a few blocks away on 6th Avenue. Guest Access

When you walk in the front door of the house, take the stairs to the left which lead to your private bedroom & bathroom upstairs. Once upstairs, your room is the door on the right. The door on the left is our private office. If we are in the main living area when you pass through, feel free to say hello. You also will have access to our side garden sitting area on the side of the house (weather permitting). Go out the front door and turn right. In season, feel free to pick some cherry tomatoes! We look forward to hosting you!

Find us

Best way to the SeaTac Airport is by Uber or the "Kitsap Airporter" shuttle. They leave Tacoma on the hour beginning at 4am. Call them or go online but be sure to book your trip ahead of time. We highly recommend this. For getting around town, there are several bus lines within just a few blocks of our house and there is always an uber just a few minutes away too. If you are driving, we always have a parking spot for you in front of our house on the street. There are also rentable city scooters that you can find nearby with the app.
