Our hope with this property is to provide a truly peaceful, unique experience for every guest. Between the artwork, the unique decorations, the classic "old Tacoma" style home and the beautiful backyard garden sanctuary, this is truly a special place.

Good to know

The house is situated on a narrow, safe street (cars can't drive by fast) with wonderful neighbors and a cool vibe. Each of our three bedrooms has a queen bed and is uniquely decorated and set up for your ultimate comfort. The living and dining areas are perfectly set up for your group to really enjoy being together. The kitchen is fully equipped and stocked with most anything you might need. We are so excited for you to discover our little peace of heaven in Tacoma! And the backyard is truly an “urban sanctuary”!

Other Details to Note

We encourage you to take the time to discover some of the little details about the house and decorations, from the Mexican tiles in the upstairs bathroom to the one-of-kind art spread throughout the house to all the hidden gems in the garden. Especially take the time to read the newspaper clipping (taped to the window of the garage) all about Jim, the owner of the home who created or collected almost everything you see throughout the property!

House Rules

1. Please do not eat or drink in/on the beds. That will eliminate the possibility of spills or stains. 2. Please no candles or fires of any kind in the house and outside in designated areas only. 3. Please put things back how & where you found them - books & games, kitchen items, pillows & blankets, furniture. 4. No smoking in the house. If you smoke outside, please do not leave any trace. 5. No "events" or parties or extra guests unless we have talked specifically with you about it. 6. We love your pets but please do not let them onto the furniture and please clean up after them so there is no trace inside or out that they were here. Please bring your own rags to WIPE OFF THEIR PAWS when it's wet outside. 7. Bottom line on "rules" is just to treat the house & neighbors the same way you do at home or with the same respect that you would expect from YOUR guests to honor your home.

It’s a quiet, residential neighborhood yet only a few blocks from the vibrant 6th Ave restaurant and shopping district.

Guest Access

The entire house is yours - no other guests on the property. And in the summertime, the backyard and garden areas provide a private retreat that you will love! The garden provides shade on hot days but also has sun for those who want that too.

It’s a very “walkable” area - the neighborhood streets are narrow so cars can’t speed through but there’s always an Uber nearby if you want it
